Language of Ghana
Ghana is considered as a multicultural and multilingual nation. There are about 80 languages spoken in Ghana. Ghana has more than 70 ethnic groups which have their own distinct languages. The official language of Ghana is English, which was inherited from the colonial era. However, the natives of Ghana also use African languages such as Akan and Ewe. Akan is the most widely spoken among their native languages. Other national languages used include Asante Twi, Dagaare, Dagbani, Dangme, Ga, Gonja, Kasem, Fante, Nzema, Wasa, Talensi, and Frafra.
